Monthly Broadband Internet for only $9.99 & a New Windows 7 Computer for $250 - Slickdeals.net

Monthly Broadband Internet for only $9.99 & a New Windows 7 Computer for $250 This offer is only for Low Income Americans to be approved for very inexpensive high-speed broadband internet and powerful computers. If you’re among the millions of Americans who can’t afford the typical expensive high speed internet services out there, and can’t stomach the low-speed free internet dial-up ISPs, this is the offer for you...

This was news to me when I found it tonight, but did you know just as you can apply for the Lifeline program which offers low income individuals free cell phones with a predetermined amount of minutes, to my shock they also offer a program much the same for very cheap broadband internet service.

Please be sure to read over each sight to make sure you are aware of any details to the program that may sway you away from signing up for one of them but for me, it looks like a great deal I plan to apply for.

To qualify, I recommend contacting them to see if you are able to take advantage of this offer; however it seems in general the terms of what it takes to be approved are very similar with both program offered:

Internet Essentials

Comcast, the cable TV giant, is also getting into the low-cost internet business with a program called Internet Essentials. This is very good news. If you live in areas of the country served by Comcast and you qualify, you can now get Internet Essentials for just $9.95 per month instead of the $40–60 the company had charged in the past for its lowest cost basic plan.

CenturyLink Internet Program:

If CenturyLink offers high-speed DSL internet service in your area, their Internet Basics 1.5 Mbps program for low income Americans is an excellent option for cheap broadband service. The program offer high-speed Internet for just $9.95 a month. Both programs offer a personal computer for just $150.

Its goal is easier said than done: To bring high speed internet and digital literacy to low income communities across the United States in order to improve lives in those communities. The program is making a lot of news, getting a lot of attention and many of America’s best known cable companies are adding their resources to the program.

This means you can get low cost monthly broadband internet access. Plus a low cost computer for your home. And very low-cost computer training classes. That’s a combination that lower income, struggling Americans can really use these days.

So far, participating companies are Cablevision, Charter, Cox Communications, Time Warner Cable, Bend Cable, Bright House Networks, Eagle Communications, GCI, Insight, Mediacom, Midcontinent, Sjoberg’s Cable and Suddenlink.

To qualify, I recommend contacting them to see if you are able to take advantage of this offer; however it seems in general the terms of what it takes to be approved are very similar with both program offered:
