Install VNC server in Ubuntu Linux from source package - vnc server
SERVER SETUP
Once server is setup..
Use viewer to connect remotely into the server.
VIEWER SETUP

Edit:
Connecting from viewer in Windows to the Linux VNC server was returning a blank screen
Commented a line in /etc/hosts as per the article here
